The story of Chiarla Giovanni

Winemaking tradition since the late 50s

Imagine yourself in the late 1930s, when Piedmontese wine did not yet have the prestige it has today. Italy was a country devastated by the First World War and was unconsciously slipping into the Second. In such conditions, starting a business seems crazy.

Yet, Giovanni and Pier Franco began to cultivate the vineyards with the typical stubbornness of the farmers of that time. Despite the difficulties and the lack of resources, their passion and dedication transformed Chiarla Giovanni into what it has become today: a company capable of producing many wines, of excellent quality.

Innovation in Piedmontese Wine Production

Towards the end of the 1950s, the Chiarla Giovanni winery was founded, a point of reference for the production of quality Dogliani wines.

From the years of the economic boom, when Dolcetto reigned supreme in Turin, to the innovations of the 70s with the introduction of wines such as Barolo, Chiarla Giovanni has always been able to combine tradition and innovation.

Our business ranges from wholesale wine sales to a refined production of DOC and DOCG wines. We firmly believe that good wine should be accessible, and not an elitist privilege. For this reason, we produce quality wines and sell them at the right price.
